I should go and try to sell all the left over parts from my build that I had left over since I almost started with two trucks. I even need to drag my old cab out that is sitting down in the field. But I doubt that I will. Sevierville is pretty much getting over car and truck shows from what was on the news after the last car show.

So what happened after the last car show at Sevierville? I went to the F100 grand nationals last sept and am already registered for this year.

last year at the Grand Nationals in September I never saw anything out of the ordinary, everyone was well behaved, but that was a relative small event with a lot of the attendees past the age of doing crazy things.

I remember going to the street machine nationals in Indianapolis in 1980 and it was the craziest thing that I have ever seen, mostly from non car people after hours but they were invited not to come back

I was at the Rod Run last fall and I agree, I saw a lot of well-behaved people but I admit I was not there later in the evenings. The daytime crowds and traffic jams were something you need a lot of patience for, but holy smokes I saw more spectacular cars and trucks in a half-mile radius than can be seen in all of Maine. I'll be visiting Tenn at the end of May but all they have on the days that I'm there is a Pontiac show going on.
I'd like to go to the F-100 nationals some day....but I'd want one of these to fly over the gridlock and slow walking spectators:

Just for clarification. Super Nationals is in the Fall, Grand Nationals is in the Spring. Were much more behaved at the Grand.

For those who are familiar with this shows layout, and you are planning to attend this years show...you may want to look at the new layout in advance. The Grand National F-100 Show - F-100 Show, Truck Show (gnf100show.com)

I went to the "supernationals" in 1997, it was in Pigeon Forge in the spring, what I remember about it was that once you were parked at the show your truck was parked in for the duration.

The kids who were allowed to run around like wild animals 20 years ago at the Rod Run (while their parents did nothing to stop them) have now grown up and go there themselves. As a result, you see the arrest records they're setting. The governments of Sevierville and Pigeon Forge will not continue to stand for that. Eventually, they're gonna lay the blade to the Rod Run at least.

Ishort,Yes you are correct. The Super Nationals has been moved several times in the past 10 years and has changed ownership a couple of times as well. I'm not sure when but Pat Carpenter started the Grand Nationals and managed to tie down the Spring time frame in Pigeon Forge, TN. And now the Super Nationals is held in the Fall at Sevierville, TN. For those that don't know the two towns are in very close proximity.

Yes, basically they're the same town now. The difference is the river. If you're on the parkway, the border between Sevierville and Pigeon Forge is the bridge within sight of the Titanic museum.
