Well this job is finished. All the parts came in from southbend clutch, they included an alignment tool. With help from my neighbor, who happened along at the perfect time to recruit him for the tranny install, the job went well. I also replaced the starter just to be sure.
I don't think I could have done so well all alone, it was a challenge for us to get everything to line up and slip the tranny in all the way. Other than that it is an easy 1 man job. Only broke 1 tool (Craftsman 14mm deep socket) and when I can make it to Sears I plan to replace it. The wife is thinking weekend road trip to Des Moines with the oligatory fine resturants & motels.
