i have done this to my PSD and the tractor trailer trucks i drive for quite a few years..only once i have froze up..it was 45 bellow on the temp..55 bellow with the wind chill..she did good in town..but i got on the big road and 5 miles later at 70 mph she froze up..dumped in the 911..let her idle for about 15 minutes and we were off again....we dont see that low very often..mostly -30 to -35 on the temp
I haven't put any in my tank but I always carry a bottle of de-gel. I am not sure what the difference is between antigel and de-gel. I guess I shouldn't say that because I always have the bulk driver though in a can of conditioner which is supposed to stop the fuel from gelling when he fill up my tank at the farm.

Ron, I thought the white bottle has the gelling agent, and the gray does not. I use .5 oz per gal of the gray bottle down here.
I run Schaeffer's dieseltreat during most of the year here in OK, but when I'm in South Dakota I run the dieseltreat winter blend. At @ $1.25 a tank it's alot cheaper to fill with #2 and add the additive then pay $3.60+ for #1 diesel.
