My thermostat is a 195° item, but it is supposedly a fail-safe type (all they had the day I was replacing mine). My guess is that I need to replace it and flush the system to see if something might have broken loose and is plugging a heater somewhere. I had to replace that little vacuum-operated valve that goes to the front heater core last year. Maybe a piece of that broke off and gor in someplace tight.
I wonder why these play-with-the-water projects always happen on 31° days instead of in July or August.
96, that link with the photos is great! Is there a location chart that tells where those are hidden? There are a couple there I have never seen before.
I do remember before having a problem that the line opposite line with water vac into heater core stayed hot. The line coming out of the core inot heater vacuum was cold. I would have thought as you do the valve would come first to stop hot water but apparently not. I bought the van new nothing ever changed on it except by me. thanks
Would love to see pictures of the two lines underneath van with rear heat just before they connect to heater core and coolant valve also located just before lines connect to heater core. thanks tk
