I know some of you are wondering about my situation with the terminator oil pumps i have been running since October 21 '06. It seems that a lack of simple common sense on my part, and a lack of a vital part of the disassembly/assembly instructions on Joey's part caused me alot of problems due to oil leaks. When i received the pumps, i taped off all the mounting surfaces, and the billet adapter, to paint them to match my IC pipes and reservoir.
Well, i removed the bolts that hold the assembly together. The system "stays" together without the bolts but it's necessary to have the pumps torqued tight together to prevent leaks from occuring. Also before i installed mine and Pete's pumps, (we installed them together at my shop), Joey wanted me to remove the R-ipr to check the style of banjo bolts. Well, he forgot to mention the pumps needed to be tight before you tighten down the R-ipr. I did the same thing to Pete's assembly and he's been problem free, as far as i know. Sounds like dumb luck on my part that ive had problems with it. Over the x-mas holiday i sent the system out to him in CA, and he came to find out that the seal that was replaced in NJ by his "east coast tech" was only a 70 durometer, where it requires a 90 durometer o-ring. Also, he says that when i painted the pumps, paint got in between the pumps and adapter block, causing a small gap (.002-.005) but i dont see a .100" or so o-ring blowing out through that. However, considering all the problems i have been through, i can't stand to have it leak another drop of oil again, so i chose to return it and get my $$ refunded. Another thing that influenced me to do that was my stock injectors not liking the extreme ICP. When it was running it seemed fine, but at idle, the truck would shake violently like it was on the lope idle tune, the engine would sputter and crackle, sounded like a LL injector knock but on 4-5 cylinders. Removed the pumps and put a brand new looking stock HPOP that Joey sent me, and it still runs great without the loud idle, even on the BO programming. No bashing towards Joey at Terminator here, just giving my story and the outcome. However i would like to comment on how damn helpful and "willing to make the situation right" he is. I never thought he would offer me a refund (not the purchase price, it is used, as it is painted). He is a stand up guy, who designed and built the best BO system on the market as far as i'm concerned. However after me being the only person out of 150 that have had a combination of bad luck and errors, plus the way it made my truck run, i came to the conclusion that i would never "need" the oil volume of two pumps, and a stock or modified single coming out soon will fufill my needs. So, there it is. I still wear my Terminator shirt, and there's no hard feelings here. Thanks again Joey.

Hmmmm, so that pump will sell at a discounted price then?? Sorry, couldn't resist. Glad he took care of you. I never really thought he wouldn't. Gonna rep him when I look up the thread again. Good peeps.
Seriously, i don't know what im doing now. I like what Mike did and i'm halfway there so thats a possibility. Also, i came across a heck of a deal on a 88 bronco 351 that i want to buy for my future wife, and also a extra set of wheels for me in the meantime. hmm
Hey Kris, completely off topic, but do you remember the 'traction bar' thread?
Well... who chimed in with the bars that replace the lift blocks at the same time?
Yes same tunes. Havent measured ICP yet, but it still feels almost the same. On the top end its the same i believe, however the low end (1500-2000) is a little less punchy. No smoke still.
Kris, glad you could get a refund, that is minus the 55 gallon drum of oil and the valdese strip all over your town and the aggravation. Man that was a tough saga. My pedastal rings went out while plowing and before I knew it I was down six quarts. Lucky thing these engines start shaking violently when that low!
