That's more detail and better quality paint job than I've seen on a lot of trucks I see at the shows. When I saw the thumbnail picture on the primary auction page I thought it was the real thing, with a starting price of $150.
Too bad he didn't keep detailed the flattie. He stuffed a 302 under the hood:
There's a lot of work in this thing, probably worth at least the $150.
Ross - there's a lot of '52's, some better than others - stay away from Ertl - everything's WAY off! But the Welly (Wellsy?) and the Danbury are about the best.
I did see a really nice '52, but can't remember who or what size. 1/24 seems more prevalent than 1/18, although 1/18 is a LOT nicer/bigger.
I think the tilt-out windshield is a mistake - if they had one originally, it would have it, but the '52 didn't. I'm sure they use the same description for more than one auction, and it "slipped in" somehow, off maybe a 40's truck.

Yeah, dueller, I actually have that 51 (same color too) and its not a bad model. I also have a smaller 1:24 of a 52 that I got a few years ago for Christmas. I can't remember who made it off hand, but I know its a better quality one (may be Danbury).
