Wow, can`t beat an offer like that with a stick....It would be very tempting if I could get away for at least 10 days to get there and back.
It`s sounding more like a quick trip with the 05 F350 and the 56 on a
trailer.
I meant fly on an aeroplane so you would not spend all your time on the road. I think I will mail you a scedule of the big car shows outhere and perhaps you can plan around that. The goodguys in Loveland is a biggie with lots of lawn, and cruising.

Hey Charlie, thanks for the offer
what kind of condition is it in? (not to sound picky)
Mine's in good shape, just pitted from 52 years of use. No cracks, or fog (just old).
I'm in Lemon Grove, so EC isn't far at all.

I saw the pictures in your gallery of all the chrome goodies. Are you doing an IFS on your truck right now?
If so, what are you doing with your front end set up? (axle, brakes, steering, and leafs?)
I have a 62 Falcon I want to turn into a straight axle gasser.
I don't believe that my windshield is in any better shape than the one you already have. I replaced it with a tinted one. I guess that I will have to update my gallery soon, the 56 that I am building has a 92 Corvette ZR1 front and rear suspension with ShockWaves on all four corners. The "chrome" suspension parts in my gallery now are all polished aluminum Corvette suspension components. They were originally targeted for my 50 Merc but the 56 F100 took priority. Engine and trans are out of a 2002 Firebird WS6.

Man, I bet that's a smooth ride.
Does this mean your don't have your old axle set up?
What would be the cost to have a windshield replaced on my 56 f-100?
A guy that is here replacing the windshields on our 2 Explorers, has a buddy that will put in a new windshield for $195. Labor and glass (I have the gasket)
I thought just the glass would be around $300 by it's self.
If you could get back to me ASAP it would be greatly appreciated.
thx,
George
I found windshields to be one of those items to be much, much cheaper to go local. I got mine for the '53 through Safelite. I believe I got it for around $165 and it has the tint at the top. The crazy thing was, they listed it under a delivery van, (panel), but it's the same piece. I did have to order the new windshield weatherstripping, though, as they didn't carry that. Pay a few extra bucks and they will come out and install if for you.
Branden, when I was shopping my WS for the 56, I was told by 2 different glass dirstributors that the tinted was not made for the 56 since it is so short and the tint would be a large percentage of the window. I did get a choice btwn clear and tinted but not shaded. Was I misled?? I would have loved the shaded. What brand is your WS??

Well, I stand corrected, mine does not have the tint at the top, it's all clear. I went out to look at the manufacturer decal and realized that it wasn't tinted. Mine is made by "SafeVue".
