Being the cynical person that I am, I would try to find out more.
What I see developing is a situation like, OK you wanted 1000 dollars for the truck.
I had to spend 700 dollars to fix it, so here is 300 dollars.
I have little faith in handshake promises made to me today, I have been burned more than once when there was a signed contract involved.
You would wind up being able to make more money parting the truck out than selling it for 300 dollars.

i have a friend with a wrecker lined up to retrieve the vehicle in two days. it's getting to be a pain in the rear to deal with. hate to think the worst of people, but seems like honesty is no longer the norm these days.
