i have an 84 351w, truck built in 11/83, original engine. i noticed in summit that 1984 is the split between two different timing chains, based on either a one-piece fuel pump eccentric or a two-piece fuel pump eccentric.
i really would like to buy the timing chain before i rip the engine apart.
which eccentric would i have?
i would also like to get a timing chain that has the 3 different keyways, what pre-71's 351w car should i go for (ill probably going to napa for parts instead of summit).
i've been researching this topic and hit a snag.
On the comp cams website, they say that the 72 and earlier 351w had a one-piece eccentric while the 73 and later had a two-piece eccentric.
On edelbrocks website,(they use cloyes timing chain) say that 62-3/21/84 had a one piece eccentric.
While my 78 repair book from ford shows a two-piece eccentric
