I got Jody to send me a tune from my Xcal2 to use on my 01. It's a 100hp performance tune and let me tell you it freakin ROCKS! It feels 2X as strong as the so called 100hp tune(from another tuner) I had on my 00 model.
And from a dead stop it ROLLS black smoke, my other truck never did that.
ViperBlueLX, sorry to derail your thread, I forgot my manners. Welcome to the PERMAGRIN club. I had heard Jody could email programs for the XCAL, just never heard of many folks doing it. (he told me about it for my buddy with a dirtymax), I think that would be too much like a drug though, cause at least with a F5 you have to remove the thing and send it back to him.
I could see it now:
Email to Jody... Man I have got to get my fix, just send me one more tune. what do you mean my credit card is maxed out ?!? aw cmon Jody just one more tune.
Have fun man.
Ya, I only bought a 100hp tune to try, and if I had a 60 or 80hp tune I don't think I could ever go back to them now anyway!
Funny how that works ain't it? I am hating this cold weather we have been having lately(yesterday and today not withstanding). I have to wait for the truck to warm up before I can switch tunes. Running around in the stock setting sucks.
I usually keep mine in 80 econo when not pulling a heavy load. Starts fine in any tune, not cold here. I think that is what they are talking about, more fuel and cold weather don't mix well.
