Dome lights
I have a 2004 police package Expedition, and the police department disconnected the dome lights. Does anyone one know where I could possibly find the wire to reconnect so the dome lights come on with the doors opening?

If it's anything like my 97, it's a sensor located at the bottom of the door latch. My drivers door window went off track and broke this sensor, called the door ajar sensor in half. You'll have to remove the door panel to get to it, and reconnect the wires.

Some times its done with software, I know Chevy does some software changes in the BCM ( body control module ) to have certian light features deleted. That way the build all the trucks the same and can program the features they want. Check with a Ford dealer if that is true and it maybe as simple as them flashing ( downloading ) a non police version to your BCM.
