Courtesy Lighting?

Courtesy Lighting?
Every time I open my door, the dome light comes on like it should. But so does the stereo/nav screen - bright white only though, not the actual touch display.
Also.... the parking lights all light up too. If a trailer is attached, it lights up too.
I have the auto lamp timer set to "off".
Is there some other way to stop the parking lights and stereo from lighting up?
I dont mind the dome light. That's normal.
I've heard about the "police" setting that keeps everything dark, and that's not what I'm trying to do.
Any suggestions?
