Engine perch swap

I've searched the archives and haven't found a definite answer to this question. When doing my swap from a 240 to a 351w in my 66 2wd, using the perches from a 76 f100 that had a 302, do I have to drill the bottom 2 holes in each perch? today I removed the perches from the 76, tomorrow I'll remove the perches from the 66. thanks

The best answer off the top of my head would be to make a paper or tape template outlining the location of the bolt holes used by the 302 in relation to the postioning on the crossmember. Take that and compare it to the 66's crossmember perch holes then center punch the missing hole and drill it. I can't tell you which one specifically since I haven't done a perch swap yet.

Mark, So what did you use to get the 460 in your '64? Curious since I have a '64 and I'm looking into changing my engine and tranny as well on mine.
