My first car was a 62 ford fairlane and was a real death trap floor was completely rotted out and the seats were held up by 2x4s. I have owened many cars and when I got married, my wife wrecked most of my cars only one was her fault. Now I own a 2003 Excursion 7.3l 4x4 and happy! By the way Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!
First car a 1980 v dub rabbit lowered with a gti engine. Second a 1986 s10 with a 2.8(bought it with a blown motor) Third a 1990 toyota 4runner with a 3.0 and 31s. Then i figured out the big trucks get almost the same mileage as the little ones so now i got a 2000 f350 6.5" lift and 37s dp tuner and 5" exhaust. Best truck yet.
my first was a 79' f100 my grandad gave to me. it had a straight six, with mods, and a three on the tree. i pretty much did a body on restoration of that truck. then i stupidly sold it. when i was done there was not a wavy panel to be seen on that truck, and it was edelbrock red to boot.
1968 Chevy C-10 307ci. 2 barrel, 3 on the tree, stepside short bed. I bought this truck when I was 14 and fixed it for when I got my license. Only paid $500 for it drove it everywhere. Wish I never sold it.
First car -a 55 Ford 2 door 272 with a 3 speed on the column. Had it in High School - it had a single glass pack with the greatest sound, even made the RCMP smile. I found my old year book a few years ago and my car was mentioned in it. Loved that car !
i first started driving in '64, i started out with a '58 allstate scooter, then to a '59 cushman eagle, and then got a '60 super eagle cushman scooter.... then hit the big time with a '55 plymouth plaza beige with tan interior, flat head 6 cyl 3 spd 4 door.
Ive had tons of cars over the years some good some not so great but all fun.
Chris, you are so right. But we wouldn't have enough shed room for all the toys if we had kept them. But it certainly would have been fun trying. I've been watching the Barrett-Jackson Auction. It's nuts what some of those cars are bringing but they do look like they are worth it. They are beautiful and better than new. But a '59 Chevy for $117,000? I don't think that mine was quite that good.....
