I had kidney stones too!...anyone had that? Those were fun!
I got 'em. First time about 25 years ago. They come around every so often. I know now what the feeling is when they are about to strike, and can usually medicate myself enough to pass through it.

If you drink alot of soda it will bring on stones, Now beer has the opposite effect.
After reading all this, I don't think I could in good conscience ever complain about pain again. I've had all kinds of fantastic mishaps, but never any real injuries, mostly only flesh wounds. To my knowledge, I've never broken any bones (couple fingers and toes might have been broken, but never got them x-rayed). Even with all the bleeders I've had (3 pretty good ones on my head), the only time I got stitches was when I slipped on some wet grass and something in the grass fileted my elbow--looked like a split hot dog when I washed it off. Nothing like hitting the ER on July 4th when you have company.
Sure, when I wake up in the morning, I have a few aches and pains, and a few stiff joints, but that all goes away in pretty short order once the blood is flowing. I'd like to see my tonsils go away, as both of them have been swollen and pockmarked for about 17 years, but I don't have any trouble swallowing and don't get sore throats more than about once a year.
Oh, and I'm about -6.50 in each eye with astigmatism in both. If I ever get to the point that I can afford it, I'll probably get LASIK done.
At 33, I'm definitely more interested in what I eat now than ever, so I'm trying to be more disciplined about eating more fruits and veggies, along with plenty of fiber and water.
You guys take care--especially Dennis and Carl--be CAREFUL!
Carl also told me you don't have any mirrors in your house
Not true. Just this morning I said to my mirror, "Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest o"..... the mirror interupted and said, "You are, now shut up and shave".
Broken bones, dislocated joints, ruptured tendons. Completely forgot about the minor injuries caused by horses until you yahoos reminded me. (the last one was a kick square to the frontal lobe, probably why I don't remember much of the horse injuries.)
Anyway, I never set much store by Glucosamine (and chondroitin) until recently when I tried Glucosamine Sulfate instead of Glucosamine Hydrochloride. Night and day difference. I started with the liquid stuff but am going to try switching to pills cuz the liquid is too expensive to take every day.
In my readings I found out that DMSO is broken down in the body into MSM. The DMSO stinks to high heaven so if you live out in the boonies with no wimmen it would be worth a try rubbing it on the joints needed, but for the rest of us I think I am going to try some MSM too. Just won't be as concentrated in the right spots as the DMSO would.
