Eliminating the quick-connects will eliminate air getting into your fuel line (read as quieter and longer living fuel injectors).

Also, by trimming the vent tube as short as possible, you can fill up your tank much faster because of not having the foam shooting out before you get the last 5 gallons in the tank.

Worth every penny of a full kit, especially since you have to go in the tank anyway.

EDIT: Check out this link. http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/hutch.html

Here's one I'm doing tomorrow and I'm doing the vent line trim mod just to have something to keep me busy on a 3 day weekend. http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/hutch.html

Here's another one I just found for the vent line trim, known as the "Harpoon" http://65.121.190.196/diesel/intank/

Harpoon was the first guy to publish his results on the vent mod. And Hutchinguista was the guy who got everyone going on the air intrusion in the tank.

Just useless knowledge from a 9 year vet...

Ditto what Ron said, which is also what I said earlier, too. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner once it's done and you see (hear) the benefits.

Definately worth the time - Did mine just a month or so ago and its def quieter, and seems to me the pedal response is better than before. Tank fills so easy now
