yup, but in my opinion its not worth the extra **** on the dash, try doing my 10k variations and you will be pleased with yuor end result, the 10k or even 20k potentiometer doesnt really have any difference in feel when you adjust it on the fly in my opinion, i dont know how it does on the dyno though

Thanks I do have your mod ,and I like it alot,I don,t like the way it acts when the truck is cold but when its warm its awsome, have you ever tried the mod on a switch?
A switch on Coon's style mod won't work. It will make the truck quit when you turn it off. That is unless you run a bypass wire around the resistors and switch that wire. Then when the switch is on the bypass wire will be the path and with the switch off the mod will work.
Only if you are really bad at connecting wires. If you hook up the bypass wire either with spade connectors or soldier it the most resistance you should see from one wne of the wire thru the switch and back to the other wires would be less than 5 ohms. With the 10K mod you are putting a 10,000 ohm resistor in there. The wire and switch will make no difference just has to be wired correctly.
How do you have your 10k mod attached now? spade connectors? soldier?

Sorry tj I didn,t see the end of your post to many christmas beer today,I have spaids but soldered on
Ok the easiest way then if your still interested in the bypass would be to rebuild your resistor pack but when you put the connectors on the end include your bypass wire with switch in each end of the resistor pack. This will put your mod and bypass in parallel
