Im going to be helping a buddy put gauges on his 1994 dodge cummins. i know its a dodge but hey im helping him out.
hes getting boost, pyro, and oil pressure guages and was wondering were would be the best spot to install the pyro and boost? ive heard for a pyro about 3 inches from the turbo outlet. and i dont really know were the best place to put the boost gauge. i was thinking after the intercooler? thanks for the help
If your buddy is getting a good set of gauges there should be instructions with the kit. I bought ISSOPRO from DIELEL MANOR and had very good instructions with the kit.
Good luck, And don't forget to wash your hands after you finish.
Pyro should REALLY go in the exhaust manifold, that's where you'll get your best reading.
The boost gauge can be plumbed in anywhere between the turbo and the intake. Try to find an existing threaded hole on the turbo compressor housing or somewhere on the intake, otherwise you can tee off the line running to the wastegate actuator.
