Not high temp. We couldn't find anything close to the body color in high temp.. but I talked to a number of engine builders that said it should be no problem as long as there was a good primer under it.
Same was done on Trucks for the Copperhead truck.
Its thick too.. 2 primer, 3 base, 4 candy, 2 clear. there IS an engine under there somewhere..
the engine had been baked clean prior to the bore job, and same with the heads.. so it was real clean.. and we cleaned it more before the primer.
we painted the timing cover and water pump separate and assembled, in case we had to take them back off so we wouldn't crack the paint.
