300 six engine stands

I'm in the process of rebuilding a 300 six and swapping it into my 77 f150 4x4. I read some where that in the 2wd trucks the 300s use the same engine stands (or towers, or perches or whatever the correct name is for them) as FE motors. Is there any merit to that and if there is does it apply to 4x4 stands as well?

I read somewhere that in the 2WD trucks the 240/300's use the same engine stands (aka towers/supports/perches) as 1965/67 352 & 1968/76 360/390 FE motors.

No.
You cannot use 2WD parts. 4WD's do not have engine perches (aka towers/stands), as there is no engine cross member to bolt them to.

4WD engine supports bolt to the inside of the R/L frame rails. 240/300 I-6 4WD engine supports are not the same as FE 4WD engine supports.

D6TZ-6028-A (replaced C6TZ-6028-A) Right & D6TZ-6029-A (replaced C6TZ-6029-A) Left .. 4WD Engine Supports / Obsolete

1966 F100 240/300 4WD / 1967/74 F100/250 240/300 4WD / 1975/76 F100/250 300 4WD / 1977 F250 300 4WD before serial number Y20,001 / 1977/78 F150 300 4WD

Hey Bill So what engine supports are used in the after serial number Y20,001 1977/78/79 F250 4wd with the 240/300 and are the same motor supports found in any other years for the 240/300 ?

No 240's after 1974.

Engine supports are basic part number 6028 & 6029. Have fun reading thru the upper and lower pics for the confusing support mish-mash.
