Total Sleeper

Now this is totally a sweet sleeper setup.

Look's fairly normal doesn't it?

These are custom throttle bodies made to resemble a Holley 94 carb. The fuel injectors are hidden inside.

Now this is hot rodding not just dropping a SBC in with a 4 barrel carb and calling it a day.

Well not a North American flathead, no wait nevermind he musta put something different instead of a distubutor, on the secound pic looks like he put a plug in where the distubutor supposed to be.

I got no fridgin idea what I want to do with my 1953 Flat but was considering EFI of some sort.

He has a distributerless ignition system.

EFI on your Flathead V-8 would be a fun project but it would cost more than you would like to spend. I probably could piece to together a system using factory ford parts but the tuning part is the expensive part. Speed density would be easier but would most likely require a blower camshaft for it to work correctly. Mass air would be the best but you probably wouldn't like the intake system.

Anyways it would be an interesting project...

Come on Sherm you want to come to the EFI side. Recycle that carb and step into 1986!

you know what...it wouldn't bother me in the least, but i think i'll find it a lot simpler t do a carb build as the truck is currently carbed. i'm not looking for flat out performance...just a nice driver with a little zip...

Some very nice engines you found Nathan. Either one would be nice to have in a truck.
