Last week i was driving my 2002 powerstroke home when it started to miss and lost slight power. My check engine light is on and it wont start outside when either. It is 10 degrees here. I have it in my bosses shop and it starts fine but still misses. Changed the fuel filter and all fluids are fine. I also tried diesel 911 but still no help. Can someone help me out please!? Thanks
Sounds to me like the famous under the valve cover wiring and or 9 pin plastic connector has come loose... Found both of mine loose and i got a SES light and a miss.. along with a P1316 fault code.. If your engine is still missing.. you can check the resistance with a digital ohm meter without pulling the covers.. to determine what is going on..
Get an ohm meter (get a digital readout), you can check your glow plugs/injectors by unconnecting the 9 pin connectors at both of the valve covers (near top edge) and use the following info: (You do not need to remove the valve cover)
GGIICIIGG
G = Glow Plug
I = Injector +
C = Injector -
Ohms between the G and block Ground should be 0.1 - 2.0 ohms.
Ohms between the I and C one at a time if one or more is > 5 ohms, it will point to the which gasket connector is open and not making connection.. or UVC harness being shorted

Im with clintbonnie on this one. I just had to do mine and this sound just like what mine was doing. easy fix,just time consuming ( about 5 hours or so).
