Help

I need help my 2003 F-350 6.0 has a problem & I have know idea what because my check engine light is not on & does not show any codes, I was on 1/2 a tank of diesel and I stopped to top off when I started back out it had a miss in it, I got several miles down the road & it stalled out, I sat there for a few mins and then started it & it ran fine for a few more miles and then it started missing and stalling out again, I changed the fuel filters and it ran good for a few mins and then it started up again, it was constantly smoking black, so we cleaned the EGR valve and now its smoking white/blueish, its not missing anymore and still has no check engine light, I have always had the dealership change oil filters and such as scheduled . Any ideas would be helpful because we are stumped!!! Smokes bad at idle and worse while driving but runs strong!!

EGR cooler shot more than likely, but you could have a bad injector. I'm assuming your out of warranty. I personally would take it to ford and have them diagnose it before you start throwing parts at it they will only charge $150 just don't let them know they won't be doing the work.
