diesel misses

2000 f250 I have been trying to pin point when motor misses and this is what I have noted. Full or low on diesel, rain or heavey dew, may have something to do with windshield wipers? Sometime it happen more than once a week other times a month or so. I will be driving at different speeds and the motor will miss or cough causing the check engin light to come on. As soom as I restart check engin light off. This morning low on fuel in heavy dew running 10-20 mpg the engin stopped but started right away. I have changed the fuel filter and run fuel additive with no help to my problem. It is a 6 speed and gets a stedy 20 mph. 1st diesel and loving it. Any help?

Do a search on here for one of the following: CPS/CAMP/cam position sensor. It sounds like that is what could be the cause.

I have been having similar problems. Usually dies when I decelerate to about 10mph when it stalls or misses and recovers. I replaced my CAM sensor about $115 and it is still have the same symptoms. Replaced fuel filter, proper oil. I had a code of P1211 with code reader, replaced cam sensor, and cleared errors. It still stalls and misses, within first 20 min or so of driving. The only thing else I can think of is O rings on 1 or more fuel inj or fuel injector(s) themselves are going out.

Rainy Days

My truck only dies when idling 1st thing on rainy or heave dew. It misses other times but no pattern except it happens more when raining. All other times it runs GREAT.
Thanks for input.
