Added my first extra quart of oil today with 16K miles (2000 miles since last oil change) on the engine. I know I probably shouldn’t worry about it, but when you hear some people say they never burn a drop with 150K on the engine, it makes you wonder. How much oil are you guys burning and what is considered normal oil usage?
Before I added the pcv sludge box my engine did not need to be topped off in between the oil changes. I noticed that it has used half a quart now at 2000 miles. When I drained the sludge box I found the missing oil. Guess I had better install some kind of orifice in the vacuum hose to cut down on the suction a little. The engine has 32,000 on it since the last rebuild.

Unless my dipstick grows when i pull it out, i am always in the "safe" zone when i check my oil level. Every 3,000 miles the oil is changed and she is never low. Im at 197,500 miles and counting down. Just did the oil change today, so the next one will be at the 200,000 mile celebration.
All my other vehicles use a half quart to a full quart around the 2000 mile mark. Your useage sounds very normal.
