I have the rack on the front and painted. Fenders on and painted. And lights on and wired. Added some eyelet bolts to tie stuff down with in case I need them. But most likely I'll just carry stuff on the rack. I'll get the wood on and paint touched up and post more pic's this afternoon.

Thank you. I've been wanting to do this for a while. Just need to get the box painted when I get back and put it on.

Here's a before and after of my latest ongoing project....

before...

after (actually in progress)...

Its not actually finished yet, and to tell the truth it wore me out, so I sold it. We close in a couple of weeks, didn't make any money actually broke even, but I ended up with some cool tools.

That looks good. Wish I was good enough to do that stuff. I'd be busy all the time. I'd just get something about done and the wife would want something else.

What kind of welder did you use to make that little trailer?

The trailer was made by someone else and I bought it years ago. It started out life as a 2wd Toyota PU. I had been using a plywood and 2x4 flat bed on it. I bought the heavy walled 2x2 metal at the scrap yard and had it welded by a shop near my house. I have a little 110 wire feed Lincoln welder I borrowed from my brother. But it just doesn't have enough power to get good depth in the heavy wall frame. Most likely The frame work for the main deck will need to be re-done with a bigger welder. That welder did just fine for the front rack though.

That is my approach to projects. It's a bonus if you make money but I plan on always being ahead a few tools.

Nice job!

No Duane....Actually the house "flipped" me!! lol

Bought it at auction for $15.5k
replaced the foundation, complete roof and deck along with boxing in the eaves and gables, room addition, replaced the basement walls, tore out all the old plumbing, wiring, new electric service panel, new siding, new windows and doors, rebuilt the front porch, added a deck on the back, took out many trees, etc, etc.

I paid more for hauling trash than anything else. No joke, i sent 4 loads on a 30 yard dumpster, 2 loads on a 40 yarder, and one of them was waaay overweight, the max weight was supposed to be something like 11 tons, I loaded one up and the dump weight was more like 24 tons!

Did all this by myself with the exception of the roof shingles, I hired that out.
sold it for 36k and it looks like it would take at least another 10k to finish it off, so all in all, no profit for a year plus of my time, but thats ok...I get my life back.

and I got some cool tools!

BTW Jack, trailer looks nice, if you ever need any hotter welds, Ive got a miller wire feed that will definetly get hot enough.

Thanks for the offer. I know a guy who works at Gray's (I can see Gray's looking out my back door). I just started welding on this project. And I don't know if I'm really good enough yet or not. Just have to see if the main floor stays in it or not.
