What Size Alternator???

one more question. 1998 4.6L 4x4. What size alt. is charging my battery? what came stock? how do you tell???

unless you have lots of accessories or trailer package, you probably got the small one. i think that is 95 amps? the 130 amp is very common and easily installed.

Does that also apply if you have the 5.4L? Also, how would one know if they have the trailer package?

Biggest give away would be the receiver hitch, although someone could have added one later.

I would have to say that I don't have it then, because someone added on the class 3 hitch, and I also only have the flat 4 pin harness. I DO however have a tranny cooler.
