new member first post

i have a 2001 f150 4.6 liter. im trying to find out if i need to replace oil pump or worse had an oil leak and theres water in the oil thats not from the head.
and i dont even know how to take off valve covers.
thats what i want to do first.
if anyone could point me to a how to or something that would be awesome.
oh yeah did i say i was broke almost and not very comfotable with wrenchs

I would suspect a head gasket of front cover issue. The oil pump is crank driven and not hanging off of the block like the older engines.

Is it water in the oil or coolant?
Why do you think it is the oil pump,is there no or low oil pressure?
