Check with a glass shop. I'd just about bet it will as when I got a winshield for my '70 way back in the early 90's it was cheap and I think it was that fact that it was the same glass used in the newer body also.
lol its only a matter of time before numberdummy finds this and splits our wigs
I saw this thread when it was originally posted, but held my comments then, and will continue to hold them now...well...almost. All I can say is: the windshield rubber weatherstrips are not the same part numbers for 67/72 as opposed to 1973/79.
I won't comment about the w/shields being different part numbers either...
I've read here on FTE that the w/shields will fit 67/79, but when 73/79 w/shields are installed in 67/72's, they leak at the corners.
It's been a lousy day...I tried to help someone, and got a bad rep point for my efforts. Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

well we all here like your efforts bill, your knowledge of ford trucks is extremely helpful to keep these things on the road for another 40 years and show all the chevy guys how it is and how its gonna stay.
I took both the glass and rubber out of the 78 I put them into my 72. No leaks. The rubber in the 78 was better than the rubber in my 72. It was one of them zipper type with the rubber strip that stuffs into the main rubber.
Hey dummy, about the part#'s not being the same, when I called the U-pull it inquiring about glass, they told me that they were the same up to 79. Now what type of system is it they have that the parts are the same but you say they're not? And does different part #s mean different parts. And if you don't mind me asking, how is it you know all about part #s?

How does the dummy know about Ford part numbers?
Gee whiz, mebbe it's got something to do with the fact I was a Ford partsman for 35 years. Read my signature below.
Junkyards go by Mitchell & Hollander Cross Reference Manuals.
Latest info shows Ford has now updated the windshield part numbers.
The following are Ford part numbers taken from the 1964/72 & 1973/79 Ford Truck Parts Catalogs.
Sorry if I offended you. I didn't mean to. I noticed you always know all the numbers and was just curious as to why. Right after I posted the question, I noticed your signature. Again, sorry.
It seemed to me that in an earlier post, you were commenting that the part numbers for 67-72 were different than 73-79 but above they're the same. Why then are the weatherstrips different? Are the openings in the cab the same or different? Like I said, I used the weatherstrip out of a 78 and I have no leaks. It fits great.

The dummy sometimes goes by his memory, which in the case of the windshield part numbers wasn't to good, was it?
I shoulda done this: before I posted.
My latest 1973/79 parts catalog NOW shows the windshields are the same 1967/79.
The difference in the weatherstrips is in the corners, I believe, but don't quote me on this because I haven't looked at any of these trucks recently.
