so the 94 flare side is parked...

had my ol man take a look at it cuz i know nothing lol its been smoking the odd time, sometimes white cloudy smoke, sometimes black puffy smoke.. and it has a knock to it, but anyways... he drove it for a week, looked at it quite a bit and said its done for good now... so it sits till summer for a built motor...

i knew it was gonna happen eventually but i wanted to bag it and get my fun out of it this winter but i guess i have to hurry up on my 79 4x4 now

i think that one had a few miles dustin... two different people could make the exact same truck last 200k or 500k... its all in the treatment and maintenance. too bad for the flare, any special plans for the build kirk??

Let`s hope it doesn`t take alot to fix. It seems every major engine rebuild starts around $2,500 to over $3,000.

A crate engine, depending on the budget, wouldn`t be a bad way to go for extra power as well as coming with usually a better guaranty.
Just like it`s cheaper to get brand new aluminum heads for better flow if you are getting the ones rebuilt, ported and polished professionally (plus less weight).

Despite the hassles of swaping in a warmed up 460 transplant sounds worth considering.
It could be a source of some what cheaper power.
