Exclamation BF Goodrich All Terrain 325/65 R18

I actually posted about this several weeks ago, but am once again debating this tire - BF Goodrich All Terrain 325/65 R18 for use on my stock 2008 F250 CC FX4 Diesel. I have looked at Goodyear and Nitto, but have owned about 5 pairs of BF Goodrich All Terrains and have been very pleased and loyal.

I really want something taller than the factory Continentals but have no desire to change out wheels from the OEM.

Would love to hear some feedback and also see any pictures anyone may have with this setup (or similar).

I want to make my final decision within the next couple of weeks as we are heading north for a couple of weeks during the holidays.

325's will be way too wide for stock wheels. You can force them to fit, but ride quality and towing will suffer. Some shops might not even mount them to OEM rims because they do not want to be involved in safety issues.

I had a set of 325's mounted on my truck because I also wanted a bigger and more offroad tire then the conti's. The tire shop said it would be ok with the stock rims, but 3 weeks a 5 trips back to rebalance them they changed them over to stock size because the truck would shake. If you do not want to change rims go with something smaller unless the tire shop will change them if there are problems. I would not run 325's on a stock rim it's asking for problems, I also asked around different shops and alot said it's too wide and would not mount them. I think bfg states you need a 9-10" rim for 325's.

I wouldn't mount those on the stock rim! I have a shimmy on the highway too, its not all the time just sometimes, and I know its the tires! It didn't do it before the new tires at all, but like I said it doesnt do it all the time, it the weirdest thing.... I plan on going with a wider rim this spring so Im not too worried about it and I dont drive the rig that much during the week so it really doesnt bother me? I think if you want to go that big you'll probably need a leveling kit anyways and atleast a 9" wide rim! good luck

Some have used the BFG AT in 305/65R18 with success. Less load rating than stock, rated for a 8.5" width, 33.7" tall. DO a search.....

I'm running BFG 285 AT's on the stock '03 rim. Fits great, bead sticks out just a tiny bit. Have been off road and aired-down, no problems.
The shimmy during brake application is most likely due to the crummy stock rotors being warped.

For some reason, I just can't find the answer to this very common question.

What exactly is the maximum size tire you can put on an F-250 ('03-'07)? Sure, I can get new rims if I need to but I don't want to lift. Thanks.

I've read it to be a 285. When I was searching the threads last year I read that the 295's rubbed a little at full tilt. Given the minimal differences in width and height (.8" & .2") I made the decision to go with the 285 simply because they would fit my stock '03 rims. The fit of the 305 appears to NOT fit on the stock rim. I do not have any lift. You can see the chart at: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs...t-a-ko/44.html
I hope this helps answer your question.

Go to the 10 inch wide rim, makes the 295, 305, 325's all look much better!
