Ok, I ordered an Edge Evolution from Jody at DP, it arrived Friday. Mounting it and plugging everything in seems very simple. Not sure if I want to do the drilling in my exhaust manifold though. What questions should I ask of the shop regarding placement of the probe and how much should expect to pay??
Drilling and tapping the exhaust manifold took me 2 minutes tops the first time I did it. There's nothing to worry about. Use a few smaller drill bits to step up in size, and use a 1/8 NPT tap and you're done. The final drill bit is a size "R" or 21/64". Crawl under the truck and look at the driver's side rear of the engine. You'll see a perfect spot you can reach to drill for the pyro.
Don't forget to lube the tap real well when you get to that part. I just used WD-40 (also squirted some on the drill bit). When you start the tap, go in a little, then back out. Squirt some lube. Go in a little more, then back out. You'll get the idea. I've tapped before, so it wasn't that big of deal for me. Don't run the tap all the way through either. As you get further in, take it back out and trial fit the adapter. I did mine in the up-pipe which I think was probably a little easier than the manifold. Here's what mine looks like:
Thanks for all the replies. Guess I will try to do it today if the temp gets above freezing. My garage isn't large enough to pull the truck inside. Will also depend on the winds out here in Western Kansas. Thanks again.

Sux not having a building big enough to get the truck into doesn't it! My garage is heated but I can't get my truck all the way in. I pull the front in as far as I can and it helps. I stay a little warmer and can get things done.
i had the same problem 8x7 foot door just isnt big enough..cap lights just fit under and mirrors just wouldnt do it..took a chain saw cut the door out to 12x10..she goes in now...
I have a 2 door garage, one of them is 8x8, the other is 9x8. I Put my CNC on the bigger side and am kicking myself for doing so because I could've fit my truck over there!
I had two 7x8 doors when I bought my house.....ripped them out and had a 8'9"x18' door installed. My stock height 07 SC LWB and my 01 CC SWB (8.5" lift and 38") tires, sit side by side in the garage.
