1 ton Excursion?
My insurance dealer said they make it in a one ton version. Is this true?

Only difference between a F250 and F350 SRW is the spacer blocks under the rear springs i belive. So essentially otherwise its a 1 ton isnt it?

Ford specifically lists it as a 3/4 ton truck.

The earlier superduty F350/250s used the D50 also.

Ins agent is thinking Suburban, 1/2, 3/4, 1 as in 1500, 2500 & 3500. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the "one ton" ride of the Ex was part of it's undoing for volume sales, even if it is only 3/4.....?

Ooops, thought I remembered 3500s, only 1500 and 2500s I see now...not that it matters for the OP question...

yup only 1500's and 2500's. Their was never a 3500 burb. Also i suspect ride was a very little reason to why ford killed the Ex. Ford killed the ex them selves by not marketing it.

Springs on my Dads 01 F250 and my 02 F350 are the exact same. The only diff. is the blocks.

If they are the same then how can the 350 haul more weight in its bed?
