Changing Rear diff oil and adding '08 cover

I need to change my rear diff oil so of course I also have one of the 08 covers in the mail. What do you guys recommend as far as synthetic versus regular oil and what weight? I can't seem to find anything on my truck with specs for this. Also I think I read somewhere that ford calls for sythetic only. Is this true? Thanks -

I have the 3.55 lsd. I just found it in the owners manual it says "Motorcraft 80w90 Thermally Stable Rear Axle Lubricant" whatever that means.

I use royal purple 75W140 sythetic. The 08 cover is like $35 from powerstrokeshop.com

Will 08 diff cover fit

I have a 2000 F350 SRW 7.3. The differential tags show: LH tag 75W140 synthetic oil only RH tag S406F .73 10 5 9J27 I really like the look of the 08 cover and the price if it will fit. I am about to do an oil chg. on the diff.

Joe probably got his at wholesale. I paid $32 for mine when they first came out. They may have gone up in price as well, not real sure.
