I have a factory radio with Sirius satellite in a 08 f250. I want to replace it with an after market GPS, DVD, MP3, Sirius satellite radio. Two questions.

I don’t believe the satellite receiver in the factory install is part of the radio. If not could it be used with the after market one?
Not sure where the factory sirius box is but there are 2 "angled rectangular" panels towards the bottom of the radio bezel. Pop those out and remove the (2) 9/32 screws and pop the entire bezel off then remove the (4) 9/32 screws that hold the radio in place. I will try and find a link for you.
Thanks much for all the help. I guess the question about the factory Sirius receiver is better left to the manufacture of the after market radio. Again thanks much for the info.
You can use the factory antenna, but I don't believe you can use the factory receiver/tuner because there is no wiring harness adapter for it yet.
I used the factory antenna on my Sirius SC-C1 tuner. Once you unplug the antenna from the factory tuner box, you can remove the plastic plug casing from the antenna end itself. This end is the same as Sirius or XM and will plug into their tuners.
I have the Alpine IVA-W205 double din head unit. I use it, the PMD-B200 Blackbird navigation unit that can be inserted behind the face and controlled by the head unit. For Sirius, I have the SC-C1 tuner and an Alpine KCA-SC100 interface to control the Sirius through the head unit also.
I am waiting on Directed to release the VDOC1 docking station for Sirius so I can put one in each of my vehicles and use a portable tuner like a Starmate. I've got the same head unit in all of my vehicles, so the Blackbird navigation can be used in any of them and controlled from the head unit or be portable. I want to do the same with the Sirius instead of paying for a subscription for each vehicle.
Just be glad you can use the antenna. I would be upset if I had an antenna I could not use. Thanx for the info as later I too will want to upgrade to an aftermarket unit and was wondering if I coud use the same (painted) oem antenna.
Give it a few months... I'm sure a harness will be avail..
If there are companies willing to make aftermarket modules to Interface w/OEM nav and mobile entertainment systems that allow you to add on Sat./HD, TV tuners plus able to merge in reverse cameras...And such.... I'm sure someone will be reverse engineering OEM stuff too... if it hasn't happened already.
