Hello,
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o> Ford part numbers are driving me nuts.
<o></o> I want to replace a camshaft synchronizer in my 1999 Ranger 3.0 V-6 (VIN code V for flex fuel). I really want to use a real Ford Part and not the Dorman’s aftermarket. Every Ford part site that I go to lists 1-3 that I can choose from, but don’t know which is the right one.
<o></o> My existing one has the casting numbers F58E-12131-AB on it.
<o></o> Can anyone help identify the correct Ford part number for this?
<o></o> Thank you.
I can tell you the Ford part number will be in that format. Four character prefix, five character base number, and two or more suffix characters. If the second character in the prefix is an F, that part went service only and is no longer used on the assembly line.
Ford does assign new numbers to parts often, so a Ford service desk can cross reference your number to any other Ford part numbers that would be associated with that part.
