i have a few loose wrenches i got cleaning out someones basement, and they are pretty rusty on the ends (where they grip the fastener) and they no longer work right. more like they are made out of play dough. they just slip off. if they will replace them how do i do that? if not they go in the scrap metal pile!
You would have to find a Snap-on Dealer in your area. Pick up a phone book, or if you are driving around and see a truck try to get him to pull over and ask then.
Snap~on's lifetime warranty is for the original purchaser. If you have a driver, and do business with them, then have a problem with either an inherited, or ebay Snap~on tool, they normally make it right. Otherwise it is a krapshoot. I've seen people hunt down the trucks and have good luck, then I have seen people told "I don't have that in stock", and they try to make sure they don't have any information with their phone number handy.
We don't have a Snap~on driver anymore. They never stayed. I have had to mail in our Snap~on stuff to corporate, to get it replaced, as they threatened another driver, whose route is on the other side of the street, because they were trying AGAIN to sell our route. (we could go up and across the street, but he isn't even supposed to call us, as we are on another route, dumb).
"Noxon 7" is a metal polish cleaner - it's great for any kind of metal but silver, and does a nice job of cleaning up metal. It's just an incredibly strong polish - not a filler, primer, or paint of any kind. I got the last bottle I have from Ace Hardware. You'll also find it at marine stores as it's often used to clean stainless steel ladders, railings, and handles after abuse on salt water.
Of course the usual online places have it as well - amazon.com etc.
I doubt you would need it 77F250 as I've personally never had a snap-on tool guy refuse to replace anything that clearly showed the snap-on brandname on the tool.
And considering how I have tendency to abuse tools, I consider this a good thing.

i will vouch for that. the tool companies are going to offer Fred a job stress testing all the new products from now on. if they can last 3 month with Fred, they will last forever with anyone else!!
Hey, just because I bent a 2' long 1/2" breaker bar doesn't give you the right to bust my chops!
Actually, my floor jack bent it
That's all it took to bend one? I snapped the head off an SK ratcheting breaker bar taking an axle nut off a Honda, the Husky one I replaced it with has lasted almost ten years though. I even ran it over with a JD 490 E excavator, about 24,000lbs.
The Snapoff jerk in my area will not talk to you unless you wave a $100 bill
in his face and buy something. I wanted a 1/2" drive 0-150 pound torque wrench repaired. Three weeks later it's still laying in his truck and he is tired of me asking then he returns it unrepaired.
Tool companies need to get their act together. Both my local and military Snap-On dealers are excellent, but the previous military dealer didn't give a fecal mass nor did the other big name dealers. We went with Craftsman because of this.
Snap-On could crush the competition by dropping the drive-by truck model in favor of an available storefront and DISPATCHED delivery, just like all the auto parts stores who support shops do.
