I have a 1999 Ranger 4WD with the 3.0 Flex fuel motor. The truck also has ABS. I’ve got the CEL lit up on the dashboard. After a scan that typical 0401 code showed up.
I have a new sensor in hand. Where is the sensor located in the engine compartment? I did a search here and looked at a lot of posts, but I failed to find its location mentioned. I looked quickly under the hood and could not see anything like it attached to the firewall.
After I locate it would it be best reached from under the hood or up from the ground?
Some of these sensors can be elusive. I remember reaching deep to change that oil sending unit a few years ago.
Thanks, Dave
