lockers are 500 a piece......brakes depending on your abilities(lets just assume not enough) is about 1500-1700 for a kit, rebuild kits for everything except bearings are about 150, then you have to figure out steering.....prob. full hydro if your going rocks, all the fab/metal for you suspension brackets.....it adds up fast...

not including my brackets i have about 2300, but i have a open front welded rear and got hella deals on chit.....and lots o' knowledge helps alot tooooo

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

the machine work would have to be farmed out, but brackets that just time, patience and some steel.

but what about steering hydro is not DOT legal, so how would that work?

mainly its personal preference, but gear changes are a lot simpler as well. Pop the axle and r&r the differential.

I can see that, but how often is a gear change done?

Not often enough to justify buying weaker stuff for me..
