I'm not sure how to check and adjust the timing on my truck.
I've got a timing light, and my haynes manual doesn't tell me how to specifically adjust it.
How do you guys do it on your trucks?
And what is good to have it at?
10* is the base timing. When you go to time it you hook the timing light to the #1 plug wire. You have to unplug the little jumper harness so the advance isnt on. Should be over by the drivers fender. Then just loosen up the dist bolt so you can twist and and have it at.
After reading this: http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=71 , I noticed that I don't seem to have any marks on my harmonic balancer. or am I not able to see it like their picture has it?

Where are the bolts at? (I'm sorry it its something obvious, I havent gone to look at it on the truck yet haha..)
My SPOUT connector looks much different than the first pic you posted. It's a wire harness with two wires in on the one side, and just a grey tab on the other side of the connector. I didn't see it in any of the other pics you posted, but it's either near the distributor, or near the driver's side hood hinge. Keep looking.
