don't think the edge would have caused it but either way congrats on deciding on the sct. it's worth every penny.
Ya I don't think it did either, but I felt like I was beating on my truck with that tune on there anyway. I feel better now that it is off. I do miss the LCD readouts though.
Look into the MSD Dashhawk. It is pretty much the same thing as the Edge except it is only gauges, it does not alter the running characteristics of the truck. It even fits in the same a pillar mount as the Edge if you have one.

Ya that looks perfect. I just order the Xcal 3 from matt and it should be here on Monday. I can't wait to get it installed.
I just got my truck back today and it is running great. He said the fuel regulator was only pushing 38psi, when it should be pushing 60psi. He replaced the injector and regulator under warranty. I had them change the fuel filters since the truck was already in there only to be *** rap** by them. I was charged $60 for parts, and $105 for labor for a grand total of around $180. Seems high.
Oh well I have the truck back and I am pleased with how well its running.
cool, lets see how it does tomarrow. its supposed to be chilly again.
the edge is a bad deal for 6.0's. i cant tell you how many trans's i saw go out on them. even drove brand new trucks that we had installed the edge kits and they shifted horrible. head gaskets will be a problem no matter what chip you run. even stock those motors eat gaskets.
if you had a fuel injector sticking open then that is probably the cause for your white smoke. odds are you are back to normal. look foreward to hearing back in the morning

Ya i am happy to be stock at this point. I forgot how smooth it shifted stock. The truck just feels good right now. It is plugged in outside right now, so it should barely smoke at all. I will report back tomorrow. Thanks for all the help FTE members!
If it still does it, Loosen your coolant cap before you shut it off at night. (be very careful if hot, just bearly crack it) See if it smokes as much or not at all in the morning and let me know.

As long as im plugged in now, it doesnt smoke at all. we have had 37F mornings so far.
I am having kinda the same thing. I noticed today when my GF started my truck. I was right at the exhaust and a small puff of white smoke came out for about 10 seconds. It wasnt real heavy and it disappeared in about 10 secs. She pulled the truck into the garage and shut it off.
A few hours later, i decided to see if it done it again, and i had her crank the truck. And again i saw the white smoke for a few secs. Is this sign that something is going bad?
my truck will puff white for like less than .5 sec when i first start it in the morning. 10 seconds seems kinda long but maybe its colder where you live? i have been told by ford not to worry about a little white smoke and that its perfectly normal.
ok guess its not the weather. its just a littler warmer here in So Cal so were in the same range. maybe you do have an issue with your EGR or Trubo? my Turbo and EGR got replaced not to long ago because of the simptoms the OP had.

Perfectly normal to see a little white smoke at start up when the engine is cold. It is unburned fuel.
if anything go to your local stealership and try a bottle of cetan booster. Ive experimented with this and I found when I run it in my truck it actually takes care of most if not all of the white smoke at startup.
I can run one tank of it with the booster and another tank without and notice quite a diff!
