Will be leaving in the morning to go to Valparaiso In. to pick up a load of hay. On the way up I will be pulling a 5K pd. trailer and on the way back I'll pull the trailer plus 10K pds of hay. So 15K pds. total I'll be pulling. I have load E tires in front and back. Fronts are 245s and backs 265s. I don't really know what air pressure to run. I just went to the truck stop and put 65 in front tires and 70 in back tires. Am I too high or too low? Advice is very welcome.
sounds about right to me, that's what I ran in my work truck and since it was a flat bed I regularly hauled a lot of weight and never had any problems, best of luck on your trip, and don't worry, everything go well and you will be back in God's country soon and you will tell us how well your truck did
Look on the door jam for the tire presure. Mine calls for 50psi in the front and 80 psi rear. I run 60 psi all around except when I am hauling fence material (pipe, t-post, and wire) or hay. I put 80 in the rear. My tires are 235/85/16E.
