should our trucks be able to spin the tires easy stock with a 5 spd i can get mine to spin but not just by gassing on it gotta dumb the clutch a little
That sounds about right. I can't break my tires loose just gunning it with an auto unless I power brake, I am turning, or its wet out. These engine really start making power when the turbo is pushing lots of air. From a stop it can't make peak power without the turbo spooled. When doing a drag run thats why its so important to have a 10 or 15 psi boost built at the line before the lights drop.
if i hit it from anything under 25 it gets sideways... under 40 i hear the read end sliding around (not really squeel normally just a SSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH) and from a dead stop with no boost i literally just sit there and spin the tires for a good 5-10 seconds
lmao, i cant do that without a rainy day then its all i can do at half throttle to keep the truck on the road
yeah let's just say coming home from the movies while it's raining out going 40-45 in the towing tune and flooring it DOES NOT make the girl in the passenger seat very happy.... lol whoops
it's holding up great!!! but isn't that what everyone says before it blows up?!?! haha i haven't been doing any crazy 0-100+mph runs... pretty much just short spurts at high boost levels
Yeah I hear ya. I'm deciding If I should just get the tunes and then the turbo or the turbo/17 first. I prefer to be proactive but it's just to tempting. lol
