My 2007 PSD has been broken in three times. I put in the Vipor Responder and a very load alarm, glowing decals that can be seen across the parking lot. I had the alarm go off once at work and everyone in a two block radius came out to see what was going on. Kinda cool. I haven't had any problems...knock on wood...since the alarm.
My truck will be similar to Ft. Knox when I get done. After someone busted into my truck and stole about $7k worth of stuff I'm going to make damn sure it doesn't happen again. Here's my plans so far:
Rear door handles up front
Completely removed the lock rods that went to the key cylinders (Even cut off the tab for it on the door lock assembly)
Jimmi Jammers on all 4 doors
Dark tinted windows
Viper 5900SST w/ switches that activate the alarm if the hood or toolbox is opened.
2 DEI 513T sirens in the cab, will be adding 2 DEI 514N sirens in the cab as well
All my red/white emergency lights will activate with the alarm (used when responding to a call w/ my fire dept.) (Still debating on having it trip my Whelen 200watt siren after 20seconds of the alarm going off)
And my M1911 .45 will hopefully convince them if the above doesn't.
