wet 6637

Has anyone had trouble with the 6637 filter getting wet or filled with snow? I was wondering what to expect for this winter.

thanks tony

Never! other than when I wash the engine and forget to cover it. Even then no problems with it.

THANKS GUYS, I was wondering about the water and snow. Do you guys run any deflectors or anything on the air filter or just let it sit in the open?

Prepare yourself for the "Snorkle" suggestion.

i dont think you really need a snorkel unless you are driving through a pond or hitting a river at 40 mph. i only got part of mnine wet and was running through some pretty deep water.

also i aim for every deep puddle after hard rains and usualyy send the water funnel over the roof. i have never got the filter wet in doing so, it seems to be pretty well protected in that location

I'm surprised you remembered that suggestion. That was awhile ago. I still think it's a viable option, for those that want to try it.

I have no need for one, but that doesn't mean someone else doesn't need it.

My filter is installed so the top end is snug against the side. It doesn't move around and the battery seems to be a good blocker.

Here's what my install looks like: 6637 Intake
