Thats the first time i've ever heard it being called a resonator, resonators go after the muffler so you might want to check that information out. I don't have 100% proof. The o2 sensor is before the 1st cat so, why would it mess anything up? On my old truck i believe it was before the 1st cat, I know my 302's is.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
Thats it for now, saving for a stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
I take that back, I do infact have written proof. My ford dealership manual says NOTHING about a resonator, they are both cats. There are pictures of the exhausts on all models and everything is listed, they are both cats.

like I said beforew....if you get rid of the first cat aka pre-cat or resenator what ever... your going to be running extremely lean and your truck will constanly be running a code and your o2 sensor will go bad a lot....leave the pre-cat alone and do what ever you want with the second(big)cat since it is after the o2 sensor.
