HMMMM.....got me interested now......I JUST happen to have a 4130 Cm roller 97 Stang in my shop....it is a customers car that he cant pay the bill on.....and I just picked up a rollover 01 PSD f 350......I'll closely watch this and see what develops....4 link will take care of traction.....intercooler in the back....twin pumps...hmmm....
i agree with chassisman a good 4 link or even a ladder bar,and with the extra weight of the engine u can keep the nose from going too high up.all wheel drive would be sick as hell too.may be possible with custom frame work and dana 60 front......a d60 may be too small tho.4 link, tubbed out, anti squat bars, slicks all thesse i think would be the basic ingredients to tameing the tire burning nature of this setup.i was raised building cars and i learned "ANYTHING CAN BE DONE TO A CAR" and i still beleive this is true.yet in this world it all takes money.but good luck to ya i would love to see this done.
I'm pretty sure I could build a chassis to hold it.......I'm just not a
diesel guru....any volunteers?...LOL.....here's a 2700hp E-85 burner I built...I KNOW it's a Chevy....BODY !...LOL

COOL CAR!! I *LOVE* the purple-flamed F700 in the background!! And what's with the tractors lined up?? Where the heck are you from, anyway?? Looks like something they'd do here in TX!!
I was thinking tubs on the 'stang to help with the traction thing.

...Thanks...it's the legendary Famoso Raceway Drag strip in Bakersfield,Ca....the tractors are track cleaning equipment in the event those Chevy's have an unscheduled disassembly....LOL
hey solareclipse2000 and chassisman. Thanks for the help. My father also told me when I was a little boy anything you want a car to do can be done. Me and him built a bunch of stuff together, and after he passed away I keep the tradition alive. I use to have a 71 Maverick that had a 351 block in it. It took a little bit of cutting to lay the strut towers back to get the motor in, with a mustang II front Frame, and it made 1250hp with the turbo I put on it, and nobody would think it would work, but I have the trophys to prove it. And chassisman What kind of Ideals do you have on the frame building? Talk to you guys later.
My take on the idea, in my dream world - a rear or mid mounted PSD, stretched wheelbase a little, and the front axle from an F-150 or 7-ton or something, independant. That's solve alot of all wheel drive problems vs a solid axle. If those cracker-jack ricer drag cars can put a few hundred horse to the ground, I'm sure a built front could take a built diesel. Building a sub frame for a mid mounted 'stroke could be a PITA, but you'd want an exceptionally strong cage anyway, so it could all be integral. I'd have the wheelbase stretched to keep the front on the ground, and just to make room for the motor/drivetrain. I'd think a E40D would be the ideal tranny to go with, I can't think of any kind of shorter auto that'd fit a 7.3. For the t-case, maybe a dana 300? Small, gear driven, nearly indestructible if built. Or, for just two wheel drive, maybe use a rear transaxle to save space? Something like you'd see in a class 1 SCORE car? http://www.mcmillinracing.com/m1.html
I live in cameron North Carolina. It will be a little bit before I get started on it, because I am overseas contracting. I'm thinking In May 2008 I will start putting it together.

Thats not an F700 in the background. Its either a Chevy or a GMC but it looks like a Topkick Chev from what I can see of the front.
