I know that clearance lights were a $55 factory option on the SRW (Single Rear Wheel) F-250 & F-350 SD, and a standard on DRW (Dual Rear Wheel) models. But were they ever a factory option on the Excursion?
Not to brag or anthing but I just got my Clearence lights for my Excursion to day.
Here are some pics
I cant wait to put them on. It sucks that I have to wait till christmas But iam glad I got them

I just bought that same set off of ebay a little over a week ago and just put them in yesterday. OMG they look good. I love them. I couldn't drill the hole, but my uncle and his brother had no trouble doing it for me. Lol. So glad I did it. Freakin sweet. Follow those instructions by motoman. They will set your lights up perfect. Look better than the way the factory does them. Very glad I did them myself.

You can add part # 264141BK, 264141CL, or 264141SW Dodge RAM 94-98 cab lights to your truck with no difficulty as they fit the contour of your Ford truck perfectly. Ford owners can also choose RECON's new 3rd generation low-profile LED Dodge RAM 03-08 cab lights and mount them flush on the roof of a Ford truck with no difficulty
Hey every bodie I have a question. I pulled apart the lower section were the fuel cut of valve is and I cant find The plug. I didnt expect to see it there anny way because it was not an option with the Excursions. The wire harness for the lights has 2 wires in the plug. A black wire and a brown wire. Witch is witch. Is the black negative or postive and is the brown postive or negtive,
Thanks,
Nick
Did you pull away the front-seat passenger-side kick panel? Since the F-250 SDs and Excursions are basically the same, I figure you would have one. Someone here said that the over head electronics plugs into the same plug. Do you have the overhead electronics? Usually, black = negative & red = positive. I would assume in your case, black = negative & brown = positive. Does + & - really matter when it comes to just lights?

I got my lights in the mail and I'm going to put them on Thursday. One question.....What is a knock out tool and where can I get one? I was going to just use a big drill bit or one of those serrated hole saw things with a drill bit in the center.
Keep in mind if you are going to use a knock out too vs. a universal drill bit, it will be much easier with a 2nd person to help.
And yes the + & - matter if somehow the lights were grounded to the body. It would also matter if they were LEDs. However I don't think the lighthead's - are connected to the bolts heads that attach to the body and if LEDs were ever to be installed it would just be a simple flip the LED around the other way.
Looks like I'll be using a standard drill bit/hole saw. I'm not familiar with these knockout tools and don't want to run the risk of learning how on my new truck.
They're not hard to use, but unless you have a need for one and can use it more than once they aren't going to be worth the money. I have a hydraulic one I use for work. It can cut up to 4" holes. Get yourself a universal or "step" drill bit. You can find one in the electrical tool section of home depot if they aren't in with the regular drill bits.
