About how much horse and torque power would I get from my engine if I swapped in a rv cam and offy dualport intake. Its a '79. I plan on doing this much now and later doing the exhaust and carb. Thanks.
Sorry, my web server is down. I don't recall the exact numbers, but maybe 160 or 170. Check back later (after 6pm EST) and the pics should be back up again (maybe earlier if this snow scares my workplace and they send me home early).
As for how I got the Ford Six in there, I put it in manually. The flow head data I got off a post in fordsix.com BC (before crash).
whittey, is there anyway i could get you to email me that config file for the I6? I don't really know my way around desktop dyno. I used it twice i think =D

If you put a four barrel intake on now, you will want/need to do the carb now as well. I don't think there is a ready made adapter for your one barrel to a 4b intake, and even if you could, why? Just save your bucks until you can do at least the carb and manifold together.
Hey, whittey, the cam timing stock is retarded 4*. The actual HP is aound 125, and the torque is 210 for a stock motor. This is something to keep in mind for a cheap power boost. If you replace the timing gears with a straight-up set (like off- the- shelf Dynagears), you will loose a little top end, but it will make off the line performance that much better.
