Well, the same set of lights are stopping me from going through my laser car wash, too.. So I could kill two birds with one stone.

You can get garage door openers that act directly on the jackshaft. No arm hanging down to drag on stuff.

I have the Wayne-Dalton one and it works well enough but needs recalibration every now and then. The LiftMaster one is supposed to be better.

I run the LiftMaster and have had great luck with it...

Here you go this should fix everything, no bull sh-t like letting the air out of your tires, building a new garage, duct tape (I prefer HVAC tape it looks like chrome ). Just a solution so you can put the beast in the garage. They make several sizes of these but this one is 3" long by 7/16" tall and they look sharp. The local AC Delco store carries the full line so I have seen them and they are nice.

Good luck.
Dave

Put in a 9 ft door. They make them and all you have to do is mod the door opening.

The cab lights used on 88-98 GM trucks are not very tall. You might look into those.

Those grote lights aren't p2c rated. They shine straight up instead of different angles. Contact a big truck chrome shop, 4-state truck parts Joplin MO. 75 chromeshop in florida, or Elizibeth truck center in New Jersey, or any bigger chrome shop. Ask for "bulkhead" led's. They are a small led that trucks with shaved roofs (clearance lights) run to be legal at night, but remain shaved looking in the daytime. They are only like 10-12 bucks a piece. Truck-lite also makes a small light that is p2c rated in amber that is smalled than a head of a penny. I would have posted phone numbers but have got my butt chewed here for moderators thinking I wasn't promoting vendors.

these WILL work - but i think you might have to drill one more small hole for mounting - but they do fit the contour of the ford roof.

I just talked to the guy that owns that Striker Truck with the Cab Light picture.. Him and his Son built it up.. However he took my information down, they are going to be producing those Cab Lights.. They are waiting on the cast parts to come in and they will be offering them up and sending out Price Lists.. If you are interested in them, call Paul at 541-474-1980 Hulst Customs and he'll get your info.. He said they will be relatively cheap as they are direct bolt ons.. Those things are SHARP!

No where can I find what type of truck he has, DRW or SRW. If it is a SRW he does not need p2c rated lights as they are not required unless the vehicle is over 80" wide, i.e. DRW. I would have to do some research but I don't believe the cab roof clearance lights have to be rated anyway, only the side and rear lower lights so than can be seen at a greater angle.

Storm did they say how tall those light are?

Dave
